See Tracy Chapman sing on Seth Meyer's “Go Vote” in Uncommon TV Efficiency

Tracy Chapman made a rare television appearance on today's episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers. She played her song "Talkin 'Bout a Revolution" from her self-titled debut. The performance, which is partially delivered as a silhouette, will be broadcast the night before election day and concludes the song with a slight lyrical change. "Talk / vote about a revolution," she sang as the word "VOTE" appeared behind her. Check it out below.

While Chapman has largely slipped from the spotlight in recent years, she has occasionally appeared publicly for political reasons. In 2004 she moved to Bruce Springsteen and R.E.M. during the stops on the Vote For Change tour, which confirmed John Kerry's offer for the presidency.

In September, a judge ruled Chapman's 2018 copyright infringement suit against Nicki Minaj for her song "Sorry," which interpolates Chapman's "Baby Can I Hold You," stating that the interpolation was protected by fair use doctrine .
