EDM Twitter responds to DJ Magazine's High 100 DJs 2020 checklist

In 2020 DJ Mag& # 39; S Top 100 DJs The announcement couldn't have come at a worse time. Just as EDM Twitter exploded with excitement about President-elect Joe Biden's victory yesterday, the annual list began rolling out and got lost in the shuffle.

While the list of Top 100 DJs saw some significant changes this year – including more women than ever, numerous new additions, and significant moves within the top 10 – most of the DJs on our timeline didn't seem to care. Maybe this can add to bad or just unfortunate timing, but maybe there is something more to it than that.

While the new reigning No. 1 DJ David Guetta and many of those honored on the list expressed excitement and gratitude, others like it Jauz, Illenium (Who made the list, mind you), Deorro, Chris Lorenzo, Habitat, Luca Lush and weighed more with a little joke.

Most of these tweets, whether taken seriously or not, question the integrity of the list and ask why it's still a thing at all. That in no way devalues the achievements of the top 100 DJs, but the comment is interesting to say the least.

From your EDM's point of view, the list has its own share of "WHO CARES ?!" Comments, but this year the comments hit differently.
