Candace Cameron Bure denies collaborating in Brother Kirk Cameron's Christmas carol protests
Candace Cameron Bure talks about her brother church Cameron& # 39; s recent protests.
After the Growing Pains actor received backlash for hosting Christmas carols in California, the full house alum took to Twitter to make it clear she wasn't involved.
"I haven't attended any Christmas carols lately," wrote the 44-year-old actress. "Also, I choose to follow the larger guidelines by wearing a mask and social distancing when I'm in public."
However, Candace made it clear that she did not "appreciate" the hideous tweets about her family. "I think respectful dialogue is the key to being heard," she continued. "Stay safe."
Kirk hosted the event outside of Oaks Mall in Thousand Oaks, California on Tuesday, December 22nd. KABC-TV reported that there were apparently 75 to 100 people in attendance. The footage showed the Santa Clauses standing close together. Many of them did not wear masks, breaking the state mandate amid the coronavirus pandemic.
"We do not tolerate this irresponsible but constitutionally protected peaceful protest event," said a statement on the mall's Twitter account. "We share your concern and have notified the sheriff's office. We also reached out to the event planner to ask not to use The Oaks as a venue."
