What is a Marketing Funnel

Apr 6

What is a marketing funnel? Why is it important for every marketer to have one?

It is a method of marketing used to get prospective customers to purchase products from your site. It's a selling method that lets someone visit your blog to find information that solves their problem. You can build a relationship through specific tools.

This will help to understand the needs of every visitor. This in turn will push you to provide the best possible information for all visitors. When you have gained a visitor's trust, that person will be more comfortable purchasing products. The customer becomes the visitor.

At some point, many customers turn into very loyal customers who are ready to purchase just about every item that you promote on your site. Marketing funnels are a collection of the various steps involved in converting visitors to buyer who is willing to buy whatever you offer.

For every internet marketing professional, this is the ultimate goal. It is possible to achieve this by constructing a funnel that is well-designed.

Your efforts to market are capturing the attention of people, and bringing them into your funnel. The funnel is opened once they fill out the forms that you have on your PERSONAL lead capture page. I say "personal" because nobody will ever opt-in to your lead capture for business page. They want to be leaders, not an organization.

The page for lead capture is where they enter the funnel. When they click the "Sign up Now" or "Enter here" buttons, they will be in a position to enter a new world of network marketing.

They are getting ready for it, which is the best thing. It's their choice. You haven't offered anything other than that you are a leader, mentor and someone who will help them increase leads and more money into their business.

This is how a typical marketing channel works.

The "front-end" The "front-end" is where you make a promotional offer that will attract and qualify prospective customers who may be interested in purchasing your products later down the sales funnel. You must sign up to get the product for free.

You now have these people in your email list and you are able to send them related promotions that may be of interest to them.

After sign-up for the free offer they will be taken to a page that has a low-cost offer or what's known as a trip wire offer. It is here that they'll be moving to your "backend" of your funnel.

If they buy the low-priced deal, they will be taken on to a second similar offer for a higher cost (normally called an "upsell"). Also, the buyer will be taken to the next offer if they buy the same deal at a higher price. The list could go on and on...
